Bobby,
Hope you have a blast at these shows! Sounds like a great time. Remember seeing your show at MNM (December 19th if my memory serves me correctly.) Enjoyed the ring routine very much! Good seeing you on the Café! All the best, MattTomasko

Thanks Matt, much appreciated. My first show went very well on Saturday. Doing this kind of show is a big leap for me on many levels. It's so much more work than I ever imagined but am glad I made the plunge. I have my second tomorrow night and hopefully it will go well also. Thanks again.
Best regards, Bobby |

Hey Bobby,
I just finished the Boulder Fringe Festival and 90% of the shows had low audience turnouts ... it was still a blast but I had higher expectations ... I hope you did better in NYC ... Maybe the next time you are at MINDvention, we can see a sample of your act ... |

Hi Danny,
Ah yes, pretty much the same for me in the NY Fringe with 216 shows for people to choose from. Small houses for my first venture into my own one-man show but it's been a long journey getting here and I was pleased that those who saw it were very impressed. Still a long way to go, but a good first step for this new phase of my career. Unfortunately, I won't be able to come to Mindvention this year as I'm booked doing my Coin Act for the Yankee Collector's Convention in Rhode Island that same weekend. But will keep your offer in mind about doing something for you in the future. I'm doing extensive research into Bert Reese & Charles Foster and am writing a detailed book about them which might also end up being a lecture at some point. I've been able to uncover some amazing things about these gentleman which would prove especially interesting during this new wave of interest in billets. Best regards, Bobby |

I had the pleasure of seeing "Thought Prints" last week.
And a pleasure it was. I've been reading and watching a lot of mentalism over the last couple of years. And on rare occasions I even try to perform it. It was great to see flawless execution and new twists on the classic techniques in a fun, innovative, dramatic context. The show was quite funny as well both in the script and spontaneously. There were many episodes of successful banter with the audience that caused a nice connection. At times I thought I might have actually been sitting in front of a postal worker who discovered that he possessed psychic powers. A particular appeal to me was that doing the act as a piece of drama avoided the always icky (for me) disclaimer issue. Bobby, I hope you get to keep going postal for a long time! Bennett |
