Skip,

What's the admission price for this event? Can you pay at the door?

Just to let everyone know... Raleigh Ring 199's Public Show on Sep 16th was a great success! This, our Seventh annual, fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity raised $1100. Six local acts joined feature performer, Eugene Burger, in putting on a fun filled family show for an energetic and appreciative audience!

Local acts like young Shaun Pugliesi doing the linking rings, the logging chain through body and fun magic games were presented by Pam & Tom Beaman (NC TVP), our great emcee was Ray Wickham, the illusions of Michael Creech, the humerous mysteries of Happy Dan, Scott Shelton's long card trick, and Eugene did his great story-telling and mysterious routines. Close-up performers Jon Ferrante, Mike Gorman, and Shaun Pugliese entertained prior to the show. Backstage included Fred Rosenbaum and Robyn Bierlein along with the NHF technical crew.

Eugene Burger did a lecture in the afternoon for the magicians that was well attended. He also held a special workshop for those wishing to get his tips on "How to Be a Truly Successful Closeup Performer" that got great reviews by those lucky enough to attend.

Activities like these bring clubs closer together and get great community publicity. Thanks also go to New Horizons Fellowship who give our club great meeting facilities throughout the year, and who sponsor the Habitat Show among many other worthy causes!
