I've always enjoyed watching anything the Spencers have released on video. Their footage from their DVD "The Spencer's in Asia" was a wonderful "behind-the-scenes" look at what it takes to put together and tour with a full sized stage show!
Check out the newest effect in magic as ...... Spencer Way to go Kevin & Cindy! This is a beautiful piece!!! -Bryan Gilles |

This is a great video, because you get to see all that surrounds the preparation for an illusion, besides the illusion itself

Michael Grandinetti who appeared on NBC's The World's Most Dangerous Magic walks thru the side of an apartment building and drags his girlfriend along for the ride. Like the Spencers, it's a really cool effect. You can see this illusion being performed on his website, Michaelgrandinetti.com

I was under the impression that the Michael Grandinetti's "walking Thru a Wall" was his original creation. Does anyone have facts to the contrary?

Sidekick,
Michael Grandinetti's walk thru is the same method David Copperfield used on the Great Wall of China and a camera trick (not used by David) It looks good for a promo video, just can not be done live. Now, Jim Steinmeyer's effect is very clever. Lance |

This is very close to the same trick that I have performed except I allow the audience to come up on stage and check the prop and the cider blocks. I am not sure about Mr Steinmeyers method but I will contact him with reguards to my illusion in which I got the basic method from an illusion book which I paid $1000.00 and people LOVE it!!

Dear Lusion,
Did you pay $1000.00 for the book or for the illusion? may I ask which book you found "your" version in? Regards, D |

Lusion,
I'm almost sure of it, that the bricks are selected by audience members then placed on the two white poles before Kevin passes through the wall... -Bryan |

Am I missing something with this illusion? Doesn't it seem that the audience will at least believe they know how it is done without an additional move here to disprove what they may be thinking?

This is a new illusion from Jim Steinmeyer, and it's a fooler.
Legitimate audience members can be positioned around the prop and some can even keep their hands on the cinder blocks as the magician passes through. It's a cool effect.
It's all in the reflexes.
