Gene, It's been a while since I watched it...but it may be taught on "John Mendoza Live at the Marvello Theatre".

You don't need any video to learn this routine. The booklet(s) from Morrissey are crystal clear.

The only video of Mendoza I know of, "John Mendoza Live & Personal," does not have a performance or explanation of his cups & balls routine. (He does his single Chop Cup routine and the Vernon routine.)

The booklet is all you need to learn the routine, but I myself would like to see him perform it.

I think L&L might have a Mendoza project in the works.

I hope so. On one of my fairly recent L&L catalogs, there are a bunch of candid snapshot pictures of various magicians and L*L cast crew "mingling" and one of these pictures shows John performing the C&Bs for the cast crew. I quickly scanned the list of L&L videos, but alas, no John Mendoza video was currently listed. But the fact that John was shown performing there leads me to hope that the material has been shot and that it is just a matter of time before his material sees the light of day on a current DVD video.

John Mendoza has several videos out.
Contact him for more information.
He has several different versions of C&B on tape.
Mendoza Live has a version of his C&B that is not the Combo version.

It's on "Routined Close-Up" and also on the new L&L DVD. You can PM him if you like. On the Café he goes by runawayjag.

What he said... I learned this routine during a hard winter in an apartment in which the heat had gone out. I was sitting at a TV tray wearing a heavy coat and gloves with frost on my breath. If I can do it, you can do it.

PS It is not in The Book of John, but there is a good routine in there called, The Flash Cups.
