I will FINALLY get to attend as I missed out the past 2 years due to shows. This year I will be able to atttend for the first 2 days and I am really looking forward to meeting with friends and having a great time.

Ken: I hope your lecture will be on any day except Saturday. hehe I have to leave after the Friday night show for a festival gig I am performing at. I really weant to see your lecture and get the chance to finally meet you in person. It would be a real pleasure.

Danny, We met when you lectured @ SAM 181 in Heightstown last year. I am getting a fair amount of milage from your "Birthday Card" assembly. (Sorry, can't remeber what you called it.)

I went to MAES two years ago and had a great time. Missed it last year due to gigs.

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again.

P.S. Dennis, thanks again for taking the time to show me your PVC frame for backdrops @ SAM 4 last spring. I have made one and have used it to great affect.

I might be using that at MAES. I am bringing it just in case.

I will also have my entire show in my truck as it has to be packed for a gig this weekend. If anyone needs to use anything, I may have it as well. Just something to think about. I look forward to seeing you all there. Heading over there shortly.

MAES was really great this year lots of dealers and several dealers from Canada.

Thanks to the fine folks at MAES for another fun, entertaining, interesting, educational, informative and all-around professional convention this year in metropolitan Trevose, Pa., just north of Philadelphia. About 200 people ventured forth on I-95 to the Radisson and enjoyed a full three days of activities, including the traditional, educational auction hosted as always by Mark DeSouza; informative lectures from Ken Scott, Tommy Jones, Richard Hughes, Danny Archer, Joshua Jay, Alain Choquette and others; close-up and stage competitions and shows; a dealers' demonstration; a lively dealers' room with at least a dozen dealers offering a variety of offerings; three very entertaining evening shows; lots of impromptu hallway and lobby magic sessions; and lots more. For those who didn't make it: make this convention a must on your schedule in 2007 and attend! For those who did make it: hope to see everyone again next year. The 2006 MAES Convention was a great time.
