Its one of the best thing you can have in your wallet.

I have it set up in my wallet ALL THE TIME. I think that this is a great little trick. Whenever I'm hanging out with my friends, I always know one of them will say, "Show us a trick!" So, I always have my Kolossal Killer to save the day.

It's difficult to show them KK more than one time, they may find the secret ... or you're very lucky !

If you like KK, you'll *love* Heirloom!

Deceptionguy: You ask 'Why stray from a classic ?' - well why not ? Kenton Knepper himself uses Heirloom - which to me means a great deal. But then... I'm biased ;-)

I too am biased since I myself have several versions of KK, and mix it with my (soon to be published) version of K.E.N.T.

Allow me to rephrase:

What events led to the creation of Heirloom? What (in your personal opinion) was wrong with the original, that led to Heirloom?

I hope you don't see this as an attack. I just like getting insights from creators...

Is Keith Lack's "Hell's Hustle" (see http://www.arlenstudio.com/background.htm ) anything like KK? It appears similar in some respects.

This is what I like about Heirloom over and above KK; perhaps this helps answer your question:

When I performed KK, I'd sometimes get a comment 'yeah, bet you have all 52 cards in the wallet'. Sure, as a magician you can scoff - perhaps place a deck alongside the wallet to show how unfeasible that would be etc - but the 'possible solution' has been proposed by the spectator and no matter how unfeasible, it hangs there. Since using Heirloom, no one has ever made that comment. Ever.

Also, a photo seems more 'at home' in a wallet. The story permits more depth to the effect.

With Heirloom, the spectators will want to hold the photo - to show it to one another. They can do so. There's never anything 'extra' to be found. Unlike KK.

I'm certain you could argue against the above - I have no problem with that - but fact remains that's why we did Heirloom. If it doesn't suit you, then use KK - which is superb in its own right!
