I have been looking for some effect to use my copper/silver coin that I have at home and I came across two DVDs in the worlds Greatest set. One of them being called Stack of Quarters & Copper/Silver Gimmicks and the other called Coin Gaffs using a Copper/silver/brass. So am I right to assume that both these dvds use the copper/silver coin or is there a diffreance between the two?

Copper/Silver/Brass is a different coin gimmick, similar to the 2 Copper/1 Silver gaff. Not the same, though.

There are several routines for the Copper/Silver Brass transposition EFFECT that use the copper/silver coin, in fact, (IMHO) most of the better ones. However, none of those routines appear on the L&L disc. All of those routines (and there are some good ones) use a different gaff, as Aaron explained.

Ray, this is not a completelist, but should give you the highlights:

Scotty York's Copper/Silver/Brass transposition was published in Genii in the 1970's and then in his lecture notes titled "Coins" I think.

Geoff Latta's CopSilBrass appears in Coinmagic.

Bob Kohler's routine is in his lecture notes, and on a lecture video, I believe. As I understand it, Bob's routine is based on Geoff's.

My first version is basically Scotty York's routine with my triple transposition at the end, it's on "Silverado" as "Triple Alliance".

All of the above share a similarity in structure. The mechanics involve switching the c/s coin in and stashing the coin it replaces until the end. I take the opposite approach in "Triple Alliance 2.0" in my "Dangerous Notions" lecture notes. This allows effets using sound, which is not something you want to do with the conventional gaff, or the prior handlings.

Don't forget the New York Spellbound, which is a beautiful triple transpo using a C/S gimmick and a chinese coin (based on Scotty York's Spellbound). It can be found on Curtis Kam's Palms of Steel 1 (Which I am sure will be re-released on DVD before my one week old son is ready for college applications...)
