Ok guys, as mentioned in other threads on the Magic Cafè, my actual performing choice for a TOD is Cody Fisher's.
---- So, only if enough people is interested in one of my past signature effects, this time one with playing cards, I will let go of my Reverse Tossed Out Deck Hallucination. The Effect: Give to a person on stage - acting as a "judge" - a full deck of cards... in their hands - only the "judge" sees the full deck and he's asked not to reveal anything... and to keep a poker face because... the deck you show openly to him is made, for example, of 52 Five of Clubs!!! The same deck (no switch!) is then rubber-banded by the judge himself and you also give him a sealed envelope with a prediction to hold in view, for later... Now, the judge himself could toss the deck in the audience and, as in a classic tossed-out deck, 3 people will take a peek at one card... ... And the deck will then be tossed back... to the judge to hold!!! You will now guess their 3 cards... however, the 3 cards you will name are, for example, Three of Hearts, Eight of Spades, Queen of Diamonds, but all of the 3 people sit down as if you guessed correctly their cards!!! The "judge" will now be asked to open and read your prediction that will say "I predict that spectators will peek at 3H, 8S, QD! I also predict nobody will peek at the Four of Diamonds! - Paolo Cavalli" If people start to laugh or to wonder..., you stop them and ask to the judge to reveal why no-one could have peeked at the Four of Diamonds!... and of course he will tell out loud, that is because He clearly saw the deck made up of all Five of Clubs! To which you immediately tell him and everyone else -"But, how on the earth, then, these three people could have seen the Three of Hearts, Eight of Spades, Queen of Diamonds, and not once the Five of Clubs... ???" Then you add: "Well... maybe that's because the deck you're holding is not all made of Five of Clubs but instead is all made of Four of Diamonds... Remove the rubberband and check that for yourself! Then show the deck to the audience!" He does... and he get pale in his face !!! The deck is now made of 52 Four of Diamonds! And then you add: "You see now why my written prediction had a lot of sense, after all!..." --------------------- I checked about this effect with only two trusted people for now (one is the brilliant Gregory Arce, the other is the co-author of my previous books) and they both agree on the fact that this effect should be something that I can offer to the community because it's very different from the classic TOD and, plus, more and more people are turning to play the hypnotic / memory erasing angles in their performances. This was another major signature effect for me, like ChairEnvelopes was. Warning! This is a stage effect. If you just perform for your friends - this is not for you! I can only tell you that one very strong point is, in my opinion, having turned one weakness of the original TOD (the people choosing similar cards but not knowing that) into a major point of strength! Let me add that it's not that a stage per se is needed as a "technical" structure (obviously this has nothing to do with the secret working method) but, even the original TOD has not been created with a small group of people in mind. This one, if one wants to play it for a small group, can be done but without the final kicker which is the one thing I have personally found out to play very, very strongly!

The description sounds intriguing. I would be interested too in this variation.

In combining "TOD" with a "McCombical Deck" type effect (both of which are strong by themselves)it seems like it could be confusing to the spectators. I like to go by the old adage of the spectators being able to describe the effect in a sentence. Seems like there's a lot going on to try and follow.
Also with all the changing of cards in the deck (from all of one card, to a regular deck , to all of another card) raises suspision that there is something "special" about the deck. (even if that were not the case) The strong selling point of TOD is that it is a regular deck. Hey just my thoughts though. - Tom |

It seems like that from the lenghty description because I'm not good at writing FLASH blurbs (especially in a foreign language) but I can tell you that it's not at all confusing when performed real time!
As for your thoughts about the selling point of the original TOD deck, more an implication of "regularity" if you will, this IS made to be DIFFERENT from the start! Anyway, I know it is tested material, and I'm just gauging the possibility (or not) to market the whole thing. If there is not enough interest, as I say, it will be kept undercover for the time being.

Hello,
I go back to the life this thread about the fabulous tossed out hallucination Cavalli's deck. I'm interested to buy this deck but as Paolo Told me built this deck is expensive. The best will be a little "mass" production ( minimum 100 decks) In the first time, People they're interested to buy it can say I'm interested as Christopher Williams (see below) I'M INTERESTED
