I originally posted this in the Sidewalk Shuffle section, but it may be more appropriate here. I'm looking at the LightSpeed wireless PA system (click HERE for more info). I'd like to know if anyone has purchased or used this system, and what they think of it?
For the price, it seems to be pretty well equipped -- 30 watts continuous power, diversity antennas, 100 UHF high-frequency channels, battery/AC option, AT lapel mic, etc. I'd like to know how well it actually performs, how durable/reliable it is, and whether there are any quality, service or other issues I should be aware of. This unit runs about $200 more than a PASO ProCast50 system, another 30-watt 16-channel diversity system, which also looks pretty good, click HERE. Just wondering if the extra money is well spent. Usually you get what you pay for with audio equipment, is that the case here? I would be using this for sound reinforcement at street fairs and trade shows (where permitted). So I don't need heavy-duty amplification, only enough to save my voice and punch through the background noise. Thanks in advance for any thoughts. SETH

Hi Seth -
The section you want to post this in is the F/X section. That has many threads about PA systems. There's even a thread all about the PASO system there. - Donald

Thanks, Don, you are right, this surely is the place to discuss PA's, as I can see. I did find the PASO thread and am looking forward to getting comments on the LightSpeed system. SETH

From what I have been told Lightspeed is junk! I have never owned one but can tell you that for less money you can get the Paso system. It's everything the Lightspeed is and more. A friend of mine in Austin has a Lightspeed and he has complained of microphone interuptions.
