Hey Everyone, I was just curious as to what your favorite effects are with rubber bands and rings and where I can find them. I want stuff that uses just the rubberbands on your wrist and wedding rings or a ring you wear. thanks in advance for all your help!

Hi Speed
If you do a search you will find many ring and rubber band tricks already listed. If you want more information after you do the search I will help you.

I personally suggest 'the rhing thing' by vince mendoza (or the joining by Jeff Pierce), ringleader by Simon Aronson, and pinnacle by Russ Niedzwicki (sp?)

Is anyone familiar with the Daniel Garcia Ring & Rubberband routine?
I saw it on a preview of his "Project dvd #1", but was wondering about the rubberband routine (especially the Linking Rubberbands). I would probably be buying the dvd for that one portion. I bought his "greed" dvd & it was well explained.
Anyone have any information on this?
Thanks,
J. PAUL BELL

the Daniel ring and rubber band trick is not a routine, but is a very visual trick he has it on his 3 DVD set. His linking rubber band trick is even more visual, but I don't think he has published it yet.
GOOD STUFF

Joseph
I do a large ring, and rubber band routine by Joe Rindfleisch from Elastrix II that I enjoy doing. I use some of the improvements by Peter Roberts, and I added the Vince Mendoza rhing thing finish. It is absolutely my favorite, and I will do it at the drop of a hat.

Now my question is, who has a video of the Jeff McBride star gazer routine that everybody is talking about?

Al Angello,
The daniel garcia project dvd preview ( http://www.ellusionist.com/order/Daniel-......%20ID%7D ) showed him doing the ring & rubberband trick & linking rubberbands. does he not explain the linking rubberbands?
Thanks,

I just noticed you are a new comer to the magic Café, so let me be the first to welcome you. All I got from Daniel is the slink demo, Daniel will be at TAOM magic convention this weekend, perhaps you can pump him for more info. There is nothing in magic explained for free. The only places that I know of where they give it away is the International Jugglers Association, and sometimes the godfather, everywhere else it is pay as you go.

Al Angello,
I did not mean to imply that I was trying to get something for nothing. I may not have posted my question clearly.
I was about to order the Daniel Garcia Project dvd's when I came upon this thread.
I was wondering if the rubberband part of the dvd was well explained as it is the main reason for me buying it.

I may have misread this:
(quote: "His linking rubber band trick is even more visual, but I don't think he has published it yet.")
I was wondering if the link was not explained on the dvd.
Has anyone seen the dvd to know if the linking rubberbands are explained?
Thanks for the help

I was not putting you down, anybody who knows me knows that my first love is juggling. What I was doing was bragging about how cool jugglers are. That being said my show is 2/3 magic, and this is magicians helping magicians. Is it for free works well around here, for example if you are nice to the godfather he has been known to send out the handling of his latest (unpublished) rubber band trick, so ask.

I have never seen any of the Daniel Garcis DVD's, I did recently attend one of his lectures. At that lecture I thought he was very strong, and original with cards, and coins. The only rubber band trick I saw him do was a good ring, and rubber band trick. He was been nice enough to send me the demo of SLINK his linking rubber band trick, I also liked it very much, and that is all I really know about Daniel's work. He did not send me the handeling of SLINK, and I thought it was new, and not yet released. Perhaps someone who knows more about Daniel's work than I do would be able to answer your questions. He will be at the TAOM this weekend down there in Texas you know.

JBCONNECTED,

The whole rubberband and ring routine is explained in the set, along with the visual linking of the rubberbands. Hope that helps!

Al Angello,
I did not take that as a shot at me, I have read enough of your other posts to realize that is not the way you are. I was afraid I had not been clear in my questioning, and misread the previous posts.
thanks for all the replies.
VcosNJ,
THanks for the info.
Thanks,

Hey guys... the rubberband link that I sent Al is different than what I have in my notes AND what I have in my DVD's... it is a whole different method, look, and feel, all together. just letting you know.

JB,
I purchased DG's project DVD yesterday and was watching it till 3am. It's awesome! Daniel explains his rubber band routine very well and will have you performing it in no time. All is explained and demoed in real life to "targets" for your viewing and learning pleasure.

Hey Daniel, Did you really go into some random dudes garage to perform the RB tricks? What happened when the camera turned off?

Regards,

Steve

Marcus Eddie has some excellent and original rubber band material that has been slated (for a VERY long time) for publication in a major magician's magazine.
