I am looking at getting the Al Baker Newspaper Tear. How difficult is this to learn and learning it from instuctions vs video? Is it true that Joel Bauers is a version of this? Also thinking of getting Slydini's, how difficult is this?
Thanks in advance! Dennis |

It's extremely easy, and the routine is well published throughout the literature. I cannot speak for the video you posted about, but learning it from, say, Corinda's 13 Steps is a snap!
Isn't this also in Annemann's Practical Mental Effects? G

You may want to also check out the Gene Anderson Newspaper Tear or the No Tear Newspaper (my favorite). They are killers.
Good luck, Rick |

Gaddy I think you are refering to the Centre Tear.Isn't the Al Baker a torn and restored effect?I really like Elmsley's Torn and Restored Newspaper effect. What set it apart from the rest is the jagged edges of the torn newspaper.Even in the restoration the jagged edges seem to visually restore. In most other torn and restored the torn pieces are in a neatly folded packet which are obviously untorn.
It is explained in his wonderful book The Collected Works of Alex Elmsley vol1 and The Magic of Alex Elmsley(DVD/video)vol4. AJ |

I'm confused by all this. Did Al Baker publish a torn and restored newspaper? I don't see one in the Secret Ways of Al Baker.
