Where can I find a quality fountain? I see the Jumbo Fountain at Viking. Looking for a regular card size fountain. Any help?
Thanks, ROY |

Marcelo Contento sells some really great card fountains. I still have one I bought from him many years ago. I know he has differnet models out now and even one for jumbo cards also. You may want to contact him to get more information. I do not know his website off hand, but perhaps someone else might. Hope this helps.

I acquired the Marcelo Contento Jumbo fountain and very impressed and happy with it.
Keep in mind a couple of things before ordering from an authorized dealer. 1. If you want the unit delayed more than 7 seconds SPECIFY SUCH (then can extend to about 14 seconds) 2. Be specific if you want the remote feature. Otherwise you get the non-remote version with manual 7 second delay. Vicor and Marcelo are easy to get a hold of as well and easy communication. Highly recommended! |

Unfortunately, the Jumbo Fountain is the only out right now that is made by Contento. They have been threatening to put out another poker size fountain for about a year now. It was supposed to come out last Novenber, then February, then May. I stopped asking after that.
Right now, there is the Hey Presto Card Fountain for poker sized cards. It works off a remote control. There is no time delay feature but I hear it works well. It's available at http://www.hocus-pocus.com . |

The Hey Presto Fountain is great. Shoots cards higher than the Contento Fountain.

I still like the old Thornton Reel version (thread) and the Charlie Miller setup.

My Contento Card Fountain is probably over 12 years old and it still works like a charm. I also have it with the time delay and with the remote, so I can trigger it from on stage at any point in the program. It was very well made and he was wonderful to work with.

How high, well I'll put it this way. My ceiling in my apartment is about 9 feet. With the Unit on in my table no mre than 2 feet from the floor, the card will hit the ceiling. They only guaruntee about 6 feet, however, mine shoots at least 7 and I've had it shoot them over 8 feet.

And for your side note, I think the higher the better.

For $500, my Contento does fine. A bunch of jumbo cards get tossed in the air. Relax. Cupmagic, I sent ya a PM with contact info. |

I know this post is very old but it came up in my search for info on Marcelo Contento Card Fountain. Mine was working great for sometime, but started to become unreliable and now isn't working at all. Anyone happen to know of anyone who can fix them. or any info on who makes a good one now? All I find is Chinese ones but pricing start at about $35 isn't much of a risk. Thanks for any info!

I have the current version of Dave Powell's card fountain. He actually redesigned his fountain after suggestions from me, adding a stop switch and the ability to load the actual performance deck. It works great! Not sure when he'll have them back in stock (perhaps email him to inquire).
https://www.powellmagic.com/product/remo......ountain/ He also makes a jumbo card version (I've not tried the jumbo one). https://www.powellmagic.com/product/prof......ountain/ Mark |
