Hello folks

Now I understand how it works---My question is what to say

you have 2 lines to grab the attention of the potential customer, client or whatever you want to call them

2 lines----what to say

do you say your a magician, do you ask a question to get them curious lets have a brain strm as this can cost a bit

How about these two lines:

DON'T
DO IT!

I found adwords expensive and they didn't give me the ROI that I was hoping to get.

I found it more cost effective (as in FREE) to get my web site as high up on the search engines as possible.

Good thing about Adwords is that you can crank it up when you need to.

There is a great free email course by the GURU of adwords to be found here

Adwords is a waste of Money and time and resources. I much prefer leafleting in the local news papers/baloon releases and sandwhich boards.

Good point. I have found it's best not to say you are a magician because people don't really like magicians. If they are looking for one and you don't say you are one you have a better chance.

Perhaps for you.

There are plenty of magicians however
who find it is very cost effective and
a much better ROI than alternatives.

Unless they are idiots, why have many magicians
been using the tool constantly for months on end?

Now maby I didn't make myself clear- Perhaps the text that I typed when translated into USA or Canada means I was asking for advice on whether I should be doing it or not

I am not asking "IF" but "WHAT TO PUT INTO THE TWO LINES"

I would suggest zak plumb that you back pack somewhere else -the sandwhich boards advice are worth to me the price you paid to be a member and are going to get me plenty of corporate work and trade shows too --perhaps I could provide a discounted sandwich with each Trade Show purchase make it a BLT.

The question is what to put in the 2 lines- I don't want people posting the standard ' Don't do it" because they iether failed doing it or they have friends who wrote 2 crapy lines and it failed for them.

For those of you wanting to jump into Pay-per-click marketing -- as a general rule, a 2% click-through-rate is considered average to good. Some people don't realize this when getting into it and expect a higher ROI.

Writing Adwords copy is an ongoing process.
Perry explains this well in his book, (see link above)
but you can easily (and cheaply) split test.

Your first question asked
"do I say I am a magician or ask a question to get them interested."

You do both!

Write a simple advert for each and run them both in the same campaign.
Google will rotate them and after a short time
you will see which is getting the higher click throughs.
Once you have determined that, you rewrite the worst performing one
trying to better your winner.
You will gradually get higher and higher click throughs.

However Perry also points out you do need to keep changing
even your best performing copy for various reasons.

Really doesn't matter. Once they make it to your web page they will only see features... "look-what-I-can-do". No benefits are given for the clients and what's in it for them.

G.Baton----- I'm thinking that you maby looked at my site and are having a go at me- so I'll explain a few things

with google adwords you can direct them to any page- so when I advertise cocktail party entertainment they would go to the elite roving show
on the elite roving page it says.

This Show is designed to:

Raise The Energy Level
Break The Ice
Stimulate Conversation
Capture the Emotion of your event with the free photography

These are benefits to the event not features.
The online videos explain what the show is all about.

The bio page

You will physically and emotionally experience Surprise, Excitement, Wonder and of course the Wow Factor.

You will be Challenged & Entertained with personal individualised experiences that you can't find in Cinema, TV DVD's or other massed produced entertainment media, You will not only experience the entertainment but walk away with a powerful positive memory of that experience

sorry what web site were you reading
