Greetings All!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that the next Metro Magic one day convention will be taking place on November 5th at the Meadowlands Inn in Lyndhurst NJ.

Last years convention rocked and this years promises to do the same. $45 preregisted/$50 at the door. 9AM until 10PM

The lineup of performers is as follows :

Harry Riser
Mickey Silver
Danny Tong
Ron Wohl
Mark Zacharia

In my opinion Mickey Silver alone is worth the price of admission. I'll be there.

Question:

I would love to go, but need to know something... After paying the money to get into the actual convention, do you still have to pay to see the lectures, or is that all included?

Vinnie, when paying for conventionsm the ticket price includes the lectures, access to the dealers room, and generally performance show at night. It's WELL worth it bud.

Wow! I'd love to come since it's in my neck of the woods, but I won't be in town when Metro Magic 2 happens. Maybe next time then..

But I am going to make sure I call up that number from the website before I send in my money so that I don't get to the convention, and find out that I came all that way to turn around and go back home...

By the way, to anyone who was there last year, I would like to know some basic information on the convention on how the things there work..

-What type of a place is it held at? A hotel lobby, a rented hall of some sort, etc...
-Are there different sections in the convention? (ie. One spot for lectures, one spot for buying effects and stuff, and one stop for just sessioning with people, etc..)
-Can you bring used tricks and DVDs to sell?
-I noticed Mak said something about a performance show at night.. Tell me a little about that please..
-Are there any competitions held in the convention?

Anything else that would help me out so that when I get there, I'm not lost as to what to do would be greatly appreciated!

-It takes place at a hotel. The lectures and shows take place in the conference rooms (same with the dealer rooms.)
-You cannot bring your own stuff to sell. It is not an auction or public swap meet.....
-No competitions
-The "show" is set-up in 3 different rooms. The audience is divided into each room and the performers rotate and perform in each

The entire convention was set up very well last year and everyone had a ball. There was a ton of sharing going on out in the lobby and stuff throughout the day.

I can't possibly make it to MM3 because I've already purchased tickets for MM2 which seems to be happening on the same day.

Yesterday Vinny told me he had a prior commitment, and was not coming.

I look forward to meeting you Jonathan I have debated with you often, and this convention will give you the opportunity to buy me lunch. I have heard from very reliable sources that Mickey Silver should not be missed, So see you in two weeks.

Looks like where going to have a great time. I can't wait to catch up to old friends and meet new ones...

Listen here you smartasses....the 2 is right next to the 3...and I got right when saying it's only 2 weeks away. Keep it up and we'll have to have duel. 10 paces, turn, Bertram change and throw. It'll be bloody.

I'm not to worried about Jonathan though...we met a SAMCON(or NEMCON, one of em) and he only tried to beat me up twice.

BTW...I'll be contacting the Dealers there, same as I did for SAMCON, to sell the prints of my 4 Aces portrait. Keep an eye for them, I'll also donate one to the raffles.
