My list of complaints.
I tend to stay at my boyfriend's place cause he has a full size bed and lives in a better neighborhood. The other morning I came home to find cop cars everywhere. There was a body less than 20 feet from my apartment's front door... Apparently a neighbor heard gunshots around 9:30pm the night before. I had left my place around 9 or 9:15...lucky I guess. Lovely... That evening I got over to Ian's just after he arrived home. He asked if I had needed the VHS or DVD player for some reason.... Someone had broken in that day and taken them along with his mini disc player and a borrowed $500 sound system that I need to replace. I am royally T'd off and in the process of looking for a better place to live. GRRRRRRR!

That sucks Trinket! Sorry to hear of your losses. Good that both of you are safe and sound. I can relate to what you are going through. I used to live in a really unsafe area before moving to my current apt. We had one break in but my roommate suffered the signifant loss. There were addicts that would hang on my porch and shady men asking my neighbors inappropriate questions about my roommate and I (such as if we are alone alot, did we have guys over often, etc), among other issues. I can look back and laugh at the stories and how bad it was now, but while I was living there I was afraid. One should never feel fear in their own home. I sympathize and hope you find a better living situation soon!

Thanksgiving day. We're going visiting. The trees are coated in ice as are our cars. We're expected to bring lasagne and be there at 2:00PM.
8:30AM.
Bang! A transformer blows and my power is out.
Can't cook or get ready and it's getting chilly.
12:04PM.
It's fixed. The house is cold and we start cooking and getting ready.
It's now 1:30PM, the food isn't ready yet and it's an hour drive to the relatives.
I don't know when we're leaving or when we'll get there.

My mood is Ok but those who are waiting for us so they can eat are not very happy.
