You will find lots of posts singing the praises of Jim Snack's Success in Magic product.
Plus if you do some digging, you will find lots of valuable content posts here on the Café, from the author himself. I don't recall ever reading a negative review of his product. - Donald

It is well worth the investment. If you are wanting to take control over your own success in magic, then Jim Snack's course will steer you in the right direction. If you are able to even land one gig from any of the information in the course (and you will) then the course pays for itself in a very short period of time. It is absolutely a great course and I reccomend it highly.

The only thing Jim does not provide is the "will to succede. Without which any course isn't worth the paper it is printed on.
Follow Jims advice, and success is well within the grasp of the average person. If you generalize Jims course and apply it, it is a great way to go through life as a success.

That is so true. Any marketing course is as only good as the will of the person to get up off their butt and take direct action upon themselves to seek and find the success they are after. That can not be taught. It is something you simply have to have a desire and a passion to do. If you still feel that a course is going to make you instantly successful without you having to do minimal work, then you are much better off not spending the money.
You first must have a desire and a drive and ambition to make your own success happen. You must be willing to apply effort to learning, trying and doing. You also must be willing to know that yopu will fail from time to time. However, you should realize that failure is really a stepping stone to your own sucess. If you have a desire and passion for success and the willingness to put forth the effort, then Jim's course can guide you very well and give you the tools you need. He covers off on a lot of great information that can then be directly applied to your own unique problems so that you develop a marketing system that works for you. Kyle

My hard copy version arrived this past week. I'm still working my way through it but I suspect you'd be hard pressed _not_ to get your money's worth. If not with the actual content then with the after sale consultations that are a part of the package.
Use the MC search feature for more info on Mr. Snack. The clarity of his posts on this forum should be instructive.

I will also add that Jim will always be willing to answer any e-mails or Pms or even phone calls to him. He is vary generous with his time and will answer any questions anyone has about his course or anything in general. I can tell you I learned so very much from this man. He really helped steer me in the right direction.

Jim Snack's SIM course ranks at the absolute TOP of the "Must Have" list. Highly recommended. I refer to it OFTEN. In fact, I was tolling through it for ideas less than a week ago.

I also have this course, and highly recommend it. The CDs he provides with the manuals are filled with great ideas from some other performers in addition to Jim's own excellent advice. One of the best investments I've made in my magic business. -Jeff

It was with great Dismay that I saw all of the people in my market buying it from him at the '05 Kidabra. It had already been my secret weapon for 6 months. Oh well...

I would not worry too much about it Aragorn. Out of all the people who actually do purchase thge course how many do you think actually have enough will-power and determination to actually take the information and do something with it? Chances are not that many. being succcessful means not only just buying a course and learning it, but apply that information and taking direct action upon yourself to get the success that you are after. many folks are plain lazy and that is just the way society is. Buying the course is one thing, learning to use that information and take action is another. yes they bought the course, but will they actually keep up with it and take action to make it happen? Probably not as much as you have yourself.

The thing is I have no desire to go proffessional yet. I have a good job and it pays well.
however I'm more interest (at the moment I might add) is to go semi proffessional increasing my part time performances so I can make a few extra bucks will this course help me with that. I might turn proffessional but not at the moment still have to many things going on in my life will review this in a year or 4 when my girlfriend has a job. |

The difference between a part time pro and a full time pro, is not in the fee itself, but in the number of shows you do (or are able to do, if you have another full time job). BTW, a good way to approach a business is not to look at it with expectations of having your spouse (or girlfriend) support you while you do shows. You should have the attitude of supporting yourself (or both of you) from doing the shows. This will help drive you. It is ok to have a multiple income family (or not), just be careful to choose whether you want a relationship that is dependence or interdependence. That choice is aside from one or two of you working. It is more about the heart attitudes, efforts, and actions. - Donald

Cougar,
I am in the same boat as you are and want to be in. I love my day job as a graphic designer for a marketing agency and I am fortunate to be able to have that job and still do my magic as well. for my wife and I, we wanted to be able to maximize our weekends and some weeknights as much as possible and Jim's course was part of the stepping stone to being able to do just that. 6 years later we are going strong. I am still at my day job and enjoying that and our success for our magic has grown far beyond what we ever thought it could be. Jim's course was a big part in getting me to open my eyes up and see the importance of marketing myself and how best I can apply his ideas to create systems that work for us. So to answer your question. Absolutely this course can help you. Kyle

Al,
Huh? Um we have talked about it but have never made a decision yet. There are many things that play a part in our decision and my health is a big factor in that. If we do, you will be one of the first to know. maybe you can teach the little one how to juggle. hehehe =) Kyle

Yeah? That is cool. I know it would change a lot of things for us and I do love kids. Kelly and I just have to factor in my health issue which really plays a big part in the decision. I do, however, love kids and enjoy working with the SYM for as many years as I have. =)
hehehe man every time I see your avatar I crack up. That is the best picture of you yet. =) Kyle
