I was reading the sample from Leaping lizard's and the author refers to a book by
George Anderson called "Impossible mindreading"

Is this a mistake? Is there such a book?
I was wondering if he meant "It must be mind reading"
Thank you,
James

I am not sure of the answer to your question, but I will write the author and see if he has some clarification.

Hope you don’t mind if I answer this question, as I just found the answer to it.

The key to it all is how the footnotes are used in the book.
On page ix (also included in the free PDF) you can read the following:

Quote:
How to Read the Footnotes
A footnote will typically refer you to an entry in the Bibliography, by author’s name. Some authors have written more than one book, in which case the year of publication is given. And a few are so prolific, that they’ve penned more than one work in a given year. In this instance, a subsidiary
number is listed. For example, Fulves (2001-1), pp. 133-144 would mean to refer to pages 133 through 144 in Karl Fulves’ New Self-Working Card Tricks, the first entry for Fulves in that year.

This means that the reference on page 9 to George B. Anderson;
Anderson (1968), pp. 12, 13.
Is refering to the book by Anderson published in 1968, which was “You, Too, Can Read Minds” and on page 12, 13 in that you find the effect named “Impossible Mindreading”.

Apart from that do as all others have said here and get the book,
it's one of the best on Mathematical Magic in a long time, don't
think anyone will be disappointed with it!

All the Best

For those who have this book, but did NOT order from us and receive the CD ROM with the pre-order:

We have had so many praises and kind words about this book, and so many requests from folks who bought it from our various generous supporting dealers around the world, that we have set up this:

http://leapinglizardsmagic.com/hiddenresource.htm

It is for purchasers of the book only, and you will need the book in hand to access to secure page and download the arwork.

The page allows you to access a secure area of the site that has the art work from the CD. It has the various cards from the book in color PDF form so you can more easily have them printed for your own use.

Thanks to those who PM's and asked.
