Oh great, the day I mention "Four coins and a Filipino" in this thread, Mr. Liwag has to go and release it! I AM SO FREAKIN PSYCHED! I have waited to see this on video or DVD forever! I learned it from print a while back, but I never knew what was the proper way of doing this or that. But now, we will all find out... Dun dun dun!!!

I really like John Allen's Handling.
Reed McClintock also has a visual 3 Fly type of coins across using a shell. |

The Homer Liwag DVD looks very impressive, I must say. Look s like some 'off the wall' usage of the shell there. I really like the look of it and I'll pick it up when it's released.
Thanks to everyone else for all their suggestions. All great input. Many thanks, Dave.

Gary Jones has a great effect with Three coins and a [. Showed my girlfriend when he came into the Magic shop one day, that shows it has to be good!!!
Reed McClintock's version called Scream Fly also has to be one of the best versions ever created, very magical looking and has the timing of every move perfect. Dan Garcia's 'Personal Safe' is a great routine and he makes it look easy, though it isn't that hard, it requires practice. |

I use a mixed routine which took things from Roth's routine and a Garrett Thomas' subtelty you will probably be glad to discover (if you don't know it yet) while handling the "last coin" to go in the spectator's hand. (This was tipped to me by Michael Vincent.)

Another vote for jon allens version as no table is required,it has an instant reset and all the magic happens in the spectators hand.

Gotta go with Derek Dingle's Silver Quick... straight forward, to the point, and not too hard to pull off... try it!

One of my favorites is Jon Allen's from Spectator Don't Exist, but for the last coin I just Michael Paul's finish from his notes Show No Mercy... very simple but very effective!

For the last coin I use Mike Rubenstein's ROPS move. I've tried may different moves and I've found that use of ROPS for the last coin gets the best reaction by far for me.

Larry, the ROPS is a great placement. How do you manage the appearance?

I use the pretty standard technique of placing the fourth coin, covered by the ], on top of the three coins already in the spectator's open hand, and then I remove the ] as I block the spectator's and the rest of the audience's view of the open hand (using a natural gesture) as I ask the spectator to close her hand and turn it over. In my opinion, there needs to be an outward motivation for placing a coin in a spectator's hand only to remove it soon afterwards, and my motivation involves a joke which not only makes the subsequent removal logical but expected. I also have a motivation for tapping the ] in my hand to perform the ROPS move.

As an owner of the Scripted Insanity DVD, I must say that Larry Davidson's ROPS looks very good, and is effective in part because it is done at a moment of relaxation.

Thanks Darrin, and you're absolutely right, a bit part of the reason that it works well is that it's done in a moment of relaxation as an "afterthought" immediately after purposely causing tension with a suspicious-looking action.
