Hi guys,
I've lost my fake security tag (normally pinned onto a jacket or shirt).
I'd had it for over 10 years and I'm dismayed.
Can anyone help? I bought it (I believe) from a Norwegian site, but I'll take anyone's.
Many thanks,
Bobser

THanks EC,
Unfortunately he doesn't deal with them anymore, but I believe 'Murphy's' does.
Thanks again.

Hocus-pocus.com sells them with a few added routines and some one liners

Hi bobser

You're welcome.

You can also purchase the security tag from http://www.hocus-pocus.com and it's included in an item called the 'Five Finger Discount'.

I stole mine from an ashtray for sale in the novelty section of a truck stop.

I think it was one of those "decoy" security tags... There were no consequences.

Does anyone know how to deactivate them. I have a few coming from a lot on Ebay.

The seller didn't know if they were still activated.

Thanks in advance. These will be coming with the pin (round button) separated from the longer part.

Harris, you might take one to a clothing store and ask them to de-activate it for you. They'd probably do it if you show them a trick!

I've not heard of this one before. This looks like a fun gag to have on hand.

Mark.

One of my favorite suggestions so far is to produce/dump out of bag...

and say I just finished my Christmas Shopping..or Christmas Shoplifting.

I also plan on using them for
cigarrette/cigar type manipulation
flip stick routines
finale for coin or other
production out of hankerchief..

Any other ideas? or one liners?

I've got that book, and that's why I was asking. If you could open the specs jacket and show the tag it would give you good cover for the other dirty work.

My lot of tags came in. The seller did not know if they were activated.

After playing with one I put it in back in my pocket. Hours laters my wife and I went to a large Home Store to buy a screen door. Walking in a buzz was heard. A checker asked if I was returning something. I said no but I did have this(the tag) I asked him to keep it till we got the door.

While looking at the storm doors we realized we didn't know the width of the door..so had to leave...Another checker was at the line where we left the tag.

The original guy and another worker were joking about what happened. The new person was less than friendly. I tried to joke with her, but she got more serious. We went home got the right size and went to a different store..Lowes and bought a door. The sales clerk got a kick out of the story...which will go into my routine in the future. This story will be part of my mechanical tales using power screw drivers as wands and washers as coins..

The clerk at Lowes happened to know one of our elderly statesman magician in the area...

You could attach it to them via a hookup like a "hook coin." But I would be concerned about snagging someone's clothing.

I thought about the hook coin type thing, but came to the same conclusion. So how does the dealer item one attach? Can anyone fill us in?

For anyone who missed this post of Pete's. Shawn Farquhar sells them in North America, complete with a routine. Look for the product called "Tagged".
