Hi,
I am replacing an old silk I use for the TT. I have read that triangle silks work great to give the illusion of a larger silk. What would you suggest as the maximum triangle silk size for the TT? Thanks, John |

Rather than triangle, I've seen them called "Diamond" shaped silks. I can fit an 18" diamond easily (even two if you try hard enough, no thumb room so you have to ditch it another way) and 24" still gives you room for your thumb, of course it all depends on the size of your TT. The King Vernet is great for big diamond silks. Much more impressive than a little 9" rag.

Thanks Dave.
Yes, diamond shaped silks not triangle. What was I thinking? Thanks for your help, John |

John,
Dave is correct , the Diamond Cut silks work great, giving the appearance of a larger silk. They don't cost much either. I have used the 18 inch silks wiyth no problem. And since Dave said the 24 inch works , I will be heading down to the basement and pull out a 24 inch silk and give it a try. Tom |

Thanks Tom,
I think Dave is a big guy because I looked the King Vernet and it is too big for my hands. I am taken both of your suggestions with the 18" diamond silk. Thanks, John |

In the "Sticky" posts at the top of "Smooth as Silk" there is a table that will really help you in determining which Diamond Cut Silk for your particular application.
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......um=54&13 Remember that Diamond Cut silks are measured by he hemmed edges only and that the goods ones are the same size on all four sides. Bob Sanders Magic By Sander |
