I've probably missed the thread, so let me know.
I'm trying to get two bands around the flipper. One is too weak. Is two the usual? The space they take up as they twist keeps the flipper from being assembled. I'm heading to graphite lube and microsurgery. Anybody? |

Is this for a dollar size flipper? If so, you have to wrap one band around twice. I will look and see if I still have Todd Lassen's instructions.

Thanks, Leo. Did not think it was possible, but obvious now. Yes, Dollar size. I'll search some more for the correct adhesive discussion, but I would love to know what Todd actually reccomends.

Hello Plungerman,
Gotta know the size of the Flipper. Dollar, half dollar, quarter, twoonie? Who made it. Johnson, Tango, Schoolcraft, Lassen, Kuepper? I own three. Different denominations. Different manufacturers. I've changed the bands on all 3. Each one has it's own peculiarities. I'm assuming you're using the spare bands supplied by the manufacturer. If so, one band should be enough. I personally like a flipper that opens fairly easily, after I work it in, rather than slamming shut. I've also bought bands from Dental Supply houses, to mix and match and experiment. PM me if you want some other tips. Hopefully I can help. Jim |
