I am in the process of immigrating from South Africa to Perth Australia. One of my top priorities is finding out in advance what materials or items I will be able to substitute or change handlings for. On top of my list is how to use plastic Aus money for bill change routines. I have invested in Switch book and Skullcracker dvd, and have not found a suitable handling.
The method currently I use is the standard Koslowski handling. I have tried this handling with Aus currency, it works but not smoothly at all. I need advice from Aus magicians on if it is worth even trying to adapt the standard method or try other variations. Kindly P.M. me with suggestions on how magicians in Aus or New Zealand have overcome this problem. One more question, are the coca cola tins in Aus suitable to perform sinful? In S.A. only a few brands work. Regards Jonathan |

Yep, Coke is cool for Sinful (I assume you mean the Wayne Houchin effect?).
A lot of our cans have large openings, particularly the lemon flavoured Solo. So you can "slam it down fast" apparently. I'm not to knowledgable on the paper money thing, but I know plenty of guys doing effects with it. Never seem to have any problems. All the best. Enjoy Perth. It's supposed to be gorgeous over there. Apart from the sharks. Don't forget the buddy system when you go to the beach. Always go swimming with a buddy who's a little bit chubbier than you. That way you know who the shark is gonna go for. -- Topher |
