You would if you ever saw Allan Hayden's routine. If you ever make it out to the Castle, corner him and he'll probably show it to you.

A long time ago, before I got into magic, as a layman, I was fooled badly by the Jumping Gem Stick, shown to me at the Houdini Museum store in Niagara Falls, Canada, and immediately bought one...I also use the color changing knives.....

I have and Love the Chalkboard. However, I put together a Routine with a Borrowed lighter that always gets Great reactions. (WAY more than you would think for the effort involved.) Must be because it's their lighter.

My personal favorite is The Pygmy Paddle. I found the routine in the Magic Menu and in a set of notes called Nothing Up My (Green)Sleeves. I also think it will be featured in the upcoming Live At the Jailhouse DVD set. I have seen it performed in many strolling situations as well as at some trade shows. Talk about a pretty good trick!

It is from some obscure performer named Paul Green.

Enjoy the search,

Paul (hmmmmm, where have I heard that name before) Green

Paul, I have always been pleased with the plethora of possibilities provided per polypropylene pygmy paddles.

I find Joe Porpers "Money Paddle" gets a great reaction.
It's got a lot of "stuff" for a paddle trick, but it runs real smooth and quick.

Over 40 years ago, I picked up my favorite paddle trick from Jimmy's Fun Shop in Newark, NJ. Both Jimmy and the Fun Shop are looonnnng gone. It shows a dressed lady who mysteriously divests of her wardrobe. When I was just learning, my technique with this effect was shabby. None of the men spectators seemed to mind, though.

Has anyone else come across this paddle version?
