Hello everyone,
I bet a few of you have heard about this, but how many of you can hear it? It is a high pitched sound that usually only those under twenty can hear. some adults may hear it, try adjusting your speakers, you shouldn't hear it. http://www.slashphone.com/download/20060613/atc_teenbuzz.mp3 I know it will seem unfair, but they have discovered a ring tone that seems only adults and a few kids can hear, it is the clean your room and do your homework ringtone . This sound could be used in mind reading! Just think, no adult will hear it but the performer might! Christian P.S. I haven't read a post here at the CÃ fe for awhile, it is nice to be back.

I'm glad you noticed that. This was first developed as a "teen repellant" for businesses like convenience stores to get the kids in and out quickly without hanging around unnecessarily.
I just wish someone would make a boss repellant so I can get some work done.

Try adjusting your speakers in winamp or something, adjust to the point where you can't hear it. Maybe my ibook speakers are good after all! My parents can't hear it when I play it. It was used outside of shops with the correct speakers so only teens could hear it, that way they wouldn't hang around the front of the store.

I couldn’t hear a thing. Of course I’m way over the hill.
Never owned one but I’ve often wondered if all those dog whistles worked or not. How would you know if you got a bad one. Ask your dog? Tom

I'm 44 and I can hear it. It is quiet, but definitely there.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

Just played for my class of second graders. It actually made one little guy tear up. I, however, didn't hear a thing. I'm hooking it up to my speakers now, just to see how many classrooms will be effected. Geez, somedays it's good to be a teacher.
