Michael Ammar made an interesting observation regarding the card on the ceiling effect. After performing the effect in his school Caféteria as a student, he noticed months after the fact that people would still point to the card and talk about the trick they had witnessed or heard about. The magic moment had thus been truly expanded. Can you think of any other tricks in which the magic moment is extended in a similar way?

Any magic trick where a picture is taken will last a lifetime. Like using the chair suspesnion with a birthday child.
Other effects where you hand back an item that is transformed, like a mismade bill, will last a while as they show others. Effects where you use your business card and the end results are on your business card. Effects that use landmarks...DC Statue of Liberty Vanish can have a lasting effect. There are also tonnes of effects in just the way they are presented that will have a lasting effect of the people you perform for and thus they will bring you and the effect up in conversation. Almost any effect put on video/tv will have a lasting effect, especially with the internet. |

I am not sure but did David Blaine leave them prison bars bent.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

The card on the ceiling is great because the impossible moment is left in the environment, unlike a mismade bill or anniversary-waltz card that may end up somebody's drawer. Even the Ark of the Covenant was boxed up and lost in some government warehouse after frying all the Nazi's at the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
An inside-out bottle (David Roth's British Close-Up Symposium Lecture) is another good impossible object, though.

Card on ceiling does leave a great "souvenir" if I can call it that.
I performed "Chi" by Daniel Garcia (his karate coin effect) in a bar where I came to perform pretty often in. I performed this for the owner of he bar who is a pretty good friend of mine.and even today, after 2 months I think, he never forgets to show the coin he was left with to every person he knows .it is becoming pretty annoying, lol -Matt

What about making a statue of yourself appear somewhere and just leaving it there.
