I was not too impressed with this either. The ball did not measure 1.75" as advertised, the seam on the ball is huge, the gimmick is off-center, and I tried to make this work for me the way it is supposed to be used, but with no satisfaction. However, using my imagination, I did come up with some very unconventional uses for it.

I was actually hoping it would be a nice loop ball or something. Glad I held off getting one.

I've seem some very impressive moves with that principle so I wouldn't say it sucks but if it is not what you are looking for then yes get the loop ball....

It is made of plastic...For me it does not suck, nor is the advertising misleading...
It is a sturdy 'ping-pong' ball with a hole (as in a thimble) and its magical use requires just as much practice as any other piece of apparatus. If members of the forum cannot make this ball appear magically well, they need to practice more, or better: or go to apparatus they enjoy practising. To say the Maniplato Ball 'sucks' is erroneous/misleading. I like it heaps and so do my audiences, especially when I produce it from my mouth, or from any of the twelve other places on my and other people's body. I now treat it as a coin production piece...and, in one routine I have devised, I use 5 Manipulato Balls in combination....there are balls all over the place - especially where it is not possible for a ball to be - and I have made the illusion work for the audience. Nothing 'sucks' about being able to do this: clean, exciting and mystifying production is possiblo with this piece of apparatus.... I did not give up on practising with it...Sounds to me like some people on this thread DID give up...It's their loss. A good workwoman does'nt blame her tools. |
