Hey guys. I have stumpled across something interesting a little whil back and I just wanted to share this with you.
while shopping at a local store I received along with my change a coin that was not "printed" face or back.the edges were but that made it even better.
so I had this idea and I tried it out and worked wonders on people.
I would borrow a coin(of course one coin that would match this gaff I have) and then pretend to erase the face and back of it.i would hand out the blank one and I was very surprised on how well people reacted to this.
what do you think of it?

They may want to keep the blank coin thinking it's thiers.
Just an idea but maybe take it a step further.
Pretend to hand them the blank coin but make a switch.
Have them close their hand and tap their hand with the eraser and have the image reappear.
You won't lose the blank that way.

Ok guys. I have found a way to make these coins myself.
it is not a big deal you just have to be a little careful and patient.
I use some dentist tools to erase both sides of the coin and smoothen them out.
the new gaffs look way better than the first I had.(the one I found).
if you have a friend who's parents are dentists like I do ,lol, get them to provide you with some old tools that still work.and you are set.
all the best

Or...you could turn to page 152 of David Roth's Expert Coin Magic and follow the instructions of The Eraser...a routine that is exactly what you're describing and tells you exactly how to make the coin.

I've been doing David Roth's routine for 15 years...it's simple and people love it. The routine is also on David Roth's 1991 London Coin Lecture.

I was hanging out at the local shop a few weeks ago and showed it to some kids. They wanted to know if they could buy it from the shop. I think it is definitely worth looking into. The display is ingenious.
