Hi Richard,
I'm so impressed by your work. Wow, it must take an amazing amount of discipline to get where you are. My question is about the type of cards you are using. Obviously, without seeing the cards, I wouldn't know the value. Do you use any special cards, which you can feel? Thanks, Christof

Hello Christof!
I use Bee or Bicycle cards. People have asked me why I don't use Braille cards. Braille cards are dysfunctional and for the blind. What you really want to know is how I deal pat hands with a shuffled deck. However, out of respect to others I will keep the methods private. But, let me give you a little aside about the first time I showed Dai how I could deal out winning hands after someone else shuffled. One day before my show at the Castle, I asked Professor what he thought about combining blank with blank? He told me that it could not be done, because one could not keep rhythm using those two methods, the brain could not respond that fast." At that moment, I became very depressed as he explained further why my idea would not work. For about ten minutes, I stood there by the down-stairs bar fretting to myself that Professor said dealing poker or Black Jack hands this way can’t work. Yet, I thought it was the perfect way. Then, it occurred to me that it could be done, even though Dai just said it could not. So, I invited him to come and watch my show in the close-up room. Afterward, he came out screaming, “What the h**l were you doing in there Richard?! I don’t know what the h**l you were doing!” I then told him I was doing what he said could not be done, and he said it was brilliant. |

Hello,
I met you many years ago in Chicago with Marlo for dinner. It might have lunch, and might have been a Sat. At any rate you did coin rolls and that was fine, but then you proceded to roll one coin one direction and a second coin in the opposite direction in the same hand. I will never forget that and the look on your face. I think that that was impossible. He who can see the invisible and here the inaudible, can do the impossible. Be Well |
