What do you think, friends of this game ?
Should we use the same titles of effects for several times, with the comment:"Different from..." as msc455magic has it done again???? I have a bad vibe about this! |

I think this single thread may be responsible for the crashes we've seen lately. Look at all the indexing that has to go on -- and for what?

Right on the first count, actually. If I'd taken my tongue out of my cheek, all that would have come out was how collosal a waste of time this is.

If's it's truly a different effect then a duplicate title should be acceptable. There are many songs and books with the same title but different content.

My vote will be,like Larry Barnowsky said,

So far, the votes are in favor of allowing the duplicate titles. I'll side with the majority. I would only ask that duplicate titles be accompanied by a reference to the material where the items can be found. As frivolous as this thread may appear to some, I find it to be a wealth of information, and I actually (happily) research items that I am unfamiliar with. One person's trash is another person's treasure.

Magiguy... this is anything but frivolous. It's been very educational, and it's been getting me to dig through some old books and exciting me again about some old magic I haven't thought of forever...
I'm glad you started this thread. Back to "n" yet again: Number Please (uncredited Encyclopedia of Card Tricks pg. 115) |

I agree with the posts above. This game really forces me to look deeper into my material, including what I already know and what I don't know.
With regards to duplicate entries... either way is fine!
