Lybrary.com started recently to permanently store the ebooks you purchase. So even if you loose your ebooks due to a crash or other failure, you can always go back to your Lybrary.com account and download your ebooks again. This provides you with another layer of safety. Nevertheless you should have your own backup process in place.
This applies retroacticely to all purchases made since September 2005. We frequently hear on this board of magicians who lost all their books and props due to fire, theft or some other terrible disasters. At least your ebooks are now safe and do not need to be re-purchased. Yet another reason to invest in your ebook library - or better lybrary. Best, Chris....

This is just one great example of what I love about Lybrary.com; the customer service doesn't end at the cash register.
Thanks Chris! |

I recently had an unrecoverable hard disc failure. Luckily I make backups and I didn't loose too much (still lost a few days of hard work) but it delivered the message that data loss can be a nightmare. That was the main inspiration behind the permanent storage idea. I am glad you appreciate it.
Actually a good part of the credit has to go to my customers, because some suggested such a service a while back. Which shows again that my customers are the biggest resource I have. Please keep your suggestions and ideas coming. I might not be able to act on all suggestions immediately, but I will try my best to keep improving to serve you better. Best, Chris....

Having experienced a hard disk crash recently myself, it is nice knowing I would be able to retrieve some of the things lost this way. All I can say is http://www.Lybrary.com rocks! Mark. |

One less reason not to buy e-books; that reason has just come crashing to the gorund. Too bad the rest of the industry doesn't follow suit. Mike P.S. Chris, does this feature follow a person by his user name (and password) or by his email address? Hopefully username and password because email addresses are constantly being changed and upgraded. For instance, I just recently changed ISP service providers (and email addresses) when I switched from one DSL company to another DSL company.

So if you want to change your email, you can do so very easily inside your account. The problem with names is that some can have the same first and second name. An email is unique. Although your email can potentially change over time, the one that is current is unique and only refers to you. So keep your account information updated. Then your ebooks will always stay with you at Lybrary.com. Best, Chris....

TRY the latest! External solid-state drives. SSD.
With no moving parts, solid-state drives are less fragile than hard disks and are also silent as there are no mechanical delays, they usually enjoy low access time and latency. Example. http://www.pcworld.com/article/173183/ac......ear.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solid-state_drive |
