Hi,

My name is Jessica Murphy. I am an illusionist from Boulder CO. I have been posting in the Café, but decided that it was just time to introduce myself formally.

I love stage magic and am in the process of putting together a full evening show to pitch to some of the casinos around the US.

Any advice on getting the right people to take notice will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jes

Put together a professional promo video tape. Send copies of them to promoters and agents.

Send me one if you can.

Hi Jessica Smile Smile Smile
I am very pleased to welcome a lady magician. We have to confess that we do not have so many ladies here at the Café. We are expecting the others to arrive. To welcome the ladies the coffees are ready. ýn the meantime please enjoy a cup of strong Turkish coffee on my bill. You are kindly expected to join the discussions.

Better late than never so welcome to the Magic Café, Jessica. There's always something happening here as I'm sure you've already found out. We're all here to help so don't be afraid to ask and by all means, post often.

Glad to have you aboard and looking forward to hearing about your quest! Marketing advice will be esential to you, business advice also (unless you already have backers taking care of this end). Check out some small business groups in you area, too many topics for here though. Starting out you may be producer, director, manager, choreographer, everything from A-Z, at some point you will have to trust others and relinquish some of the duties and responsibilities. Keep your advisory circle open, don't really on magicians only. And please find out your good points, and your bad (this part hurts at times) but will allow you to develope, allowing you to be unique and true to yourself.

Best of luck.
