Has anyone had a chance to view the DVD? What are your thoughts? Did it live up to all of the hype?
Thanks. |

I downloaded Indecent by Wayne Houchin and I wasn't disappointed. The trick is simple to do and I think one of the best of 2006.

At the end, can the spectator pick up the bag, or does the magician have to first?

I heard that there's a 2-second clean-up move right after the card is shown to be inside the bag.

And... Why are people so concerned about whether the card is in the bag or not. It's a magic trick, an illusion. As long as your spectators believe it's in the bag, why would it matter to you, the magician?

Like all of waynes effects its totally impromptu(as long as you have a deck of cards and ziploc bag) and can be done anytime. If you like what you see from the trailer and think it fits your style or routine then I would def. get it. Great job Wayne with another awesome and practical effect. Matt

Why is everyone fishing for how the trick works? Buy the DVD or the download you won't be disappointed.

I wasn't fishing, I just think it would be phenominally stronger if the spectator could take the card out themselves. I ordered it BTW.

After getting the DVD and watching it.. I was and wasn't disappointed. More on the "wasn't" and I will explain.
This is a great effect. Wayne is an extremily clever guy. I haven't been disappointed with what I have used of his recently. I have been doing his Stigmata which I get very strong reactions from. Do check this out as well. INDECENT... disappointed as I was actually lookign for "something more" I guess. My only disappointment which really isn't a disappointment. What floored me is how easy and simple this really is. And yes.. totally impromptu..well ok.. as long as you can find someone who normally carries a zip-lock bag on them. usually tough to borrow on the fly. You can learn this.. in a VERY short time which will leave you time to work on a presentation. I showed this to my wife a day after I got it...and the reaction??!! "ok, how do you do that?" If I can get that from my wife (who btw knows everything now being married to a magician / magic dealer) I know I've got a winner. As for the second clean up..it refers to handing the bag out with the card in it as a give-away. One which..in my mind I am really not sure it is that important. Eddy http://www.magicianslair.com

And it took me a month of repeating the video over and over again to figure it out. Some because I didn't want to pay, mostly because he wouldn't release this for FOREVER.

I have a question about the Revelation. I find that I am having a bit of a problem when opening the bag. That should be enough for you guys to understand what I mean. Any tips?

I'm fairly new to magic but I too figured this one out but still purchased it because I feel that Wayne deserves my busniess as he has put the time and effort into developing this trck. Yes anybody can make a trick but not everyone develops it into magic. Great work Wayne.

I bought this and I believe it is well worth the money. At first it appears to be something that should be one trick in a book of card magic but the overall look and feel with Wayne teaching is excellent. So I would recommend it. That being said I do have one nit.
MESSAGE TO WAYNE: "During the presentation of the effect before an audience" I'm willing to ignore the MTV camera jumping around every quarter second but dude when I payed for the DVD, don't take the camera off the revealation at the end. This is OK for the demo because you don't want the effect to be ripped off. But when you buy the DVD you expect to see the entire presentation and not a bunch of people jumping up and down at the climax. Best, Arnie

I love the simplistic method of this effect, it allows for more presentation. Highly Recommend it

I agree with Arnie. The demo of the effect doesn't show the revelation.
The trick is much better than the demo shows. I was not so impressed until I saw the explanation part which shows how truly clever and terrific looking the revelation really is. |

Wayne teaches two ways to show the revelation and both are excellent. I've tried both and the second one is a deal sealer, try it.
