I recently bought the Freddie-up tip. I gotta say it MAKES the Kronos effect WORK! I would have made it longer, put the knuckle down a bit (so not to look strange with the extra length) and tapered it to get thinner until it got to the base knuckle on the hand(all of which I suggested to the company) but for now I just modded it myself and will paint the new rubber when I get my air gun kit probably next week. This leaves me with the obvious question..... why did they just not market their products together??!! This is a travisty of an blunderous oversite on a couple of great ideas! I will post pics on my website when I am done. Evilstalkerhorne.com
I will also be rating the other tips I bought (all 5 of which fall short from the quality of Freddie-Up) and posting pics next to eachother. Anyone looking for a tip look NOWHERE ELSE I am not as of this minute! |

I've found this for sale now at about $100. It's been out for a while. Do all of you still feel it's as good as you did when it first came out?

I just got my Kronos and have to agree with Evil about the quality of the TT. It's so small that it appears to be a childs. Will barely sit on the end of my big honkin T. So Evil, (can I call you Evil, so much shorter!) can you point me to a link for Freddie-up tip. I tried googleing it and searching and couldn't find it. Sounds interesting. Mike |

HI
Thanks for your comments. Kronos is delivered with a small and very common TT for some reasons : -The gimmick fits a small TT it can fit a bigger TT (not the oposite) - They are so much differents opinions about TT that the best way would have be to add no TT at all. - You can easyly change for the TT you like. Kronos has been designed to be really adaptable... So, make it YOURS ! Yves

Thanks for the response Yves. I have to admit that I haven't taken the time to even look at it again more closely to see how easy it would be to change it to a different TT so I appreciate your input. I guess I was waiting to find out more about the Fredie UP TT but it's not really necessary as I have plenty that I should be able to switch it to.
Thanks, Mike |

I placed the Kronos into a Fredi-up and when practicing in front of the mirror, I could barely even burn myself. The material that Fredi-up uses also dampens any slight noise by a good bit.
A link to Fredi-up Be very careful when choosing the size, use their chart! print it out and cut out the template to compare. Worst case scenario would be that you have to change the size, which they did for me with quite good customer service. But keep in mind that you want to avoid having to change the size if you live outside of Europe as you have to pay for shipping, and it would take time to arrive. I've read complaints about the colour fading on people's TTs but I am yet to experience this. Handle both the Kronos and TT with the uttermost care and they can serve you a long time. |

"And the gimmick is very small for me,it doesn't suit me at all" You can use your fitting TT. "cause it hard to hide the gimmick" I have the same problem. There was too much heat on the TT. So I tried the tip of other users to buy Fredis Up TT: http://www.magic-frediup.com/magicshop/p......ts_id=90 As I ordered today, I cannot test, whether this solution will make the TT invisible. Having read this thread with interest, I can't help but feel that as spectators will be watching close-up (presumably?), aren't they very likely to spot the TT? Or is the effect intended for stage use, with a single spectator assisting, who would be unlikely to "tip" the method, even if he spotted it?

Potty,
The choregraphy of the effect is designed to hide the TT all during the routine. However, Why being afraid of flashing a TT ? UPDATE : ODYLE the new kronos version, has been used during David Blaine's last special. (Retro-Spinning coin with cell phone). Hidden in the sleeve, it allow you many very weird effects. It will hit the market in very limited quantities in next monthes (6 ?) There will only be 200 units on the market (numbered, signed, registrered). And it won't be made again. Price will be around USD 500. Yves

Er...well, flashing the TT, assuming it's seen, would be rather bad form. A TT is normally displayed in certain way, tip to the audience, specifically so that it isn't seen. But of course, if the routining is designed to conceal it, that would be the answer I was looking for. However, I liked the spinning coin that David Blaine demonstrated. This looks like a VERY cool use for the gimmick. Much more magical to me, than a watch winding device. Would you elaborate on the possibilities of this type of performance? Thanks, Doug. |

Sadly when this first came out on the market I purchased it. Would not work on any of the watches. I called the dealer and it was sent back. They confirmed mine did not work and the four others they had in stock had the same problem. They were going to call the distributor to find out if this was a common problem. I was offered a full refund and accepted it. To this day I have no idea what went wrong.
