Watching T. Myers' on-line video of how to tie a knot on a 260 was probably the most helpful clip I viewed when starting to twist balloons. It doubled my knot tying speed.
Tying a square knot still slows me down. Anyone know of a source of how to tie a quick square? Thanks, Doc Barnes |

I'm not sure what situation calls for a square knot, but the old Boy Scout phrase is:
"right over left, left over right" Hope that helps. peace, phill

I did the boy scout thing when I was a kid, but I think one of my problems is not having enough slack. I believe there could be a market for 10 ways to tie balloon knots. Something similar to the 10 ways to force a card DVD. I need to go to a convention to observe others tying methods.

I use an overhand knot. Never needed to take it to the next step.
I would be interested to know what situation would call for a more advanced knot.

I use a square knot mainly when I am tying balloons end to end.

Leave a 1" tail. If you inflate all the way, you will have problems tying them together.

As fast as I inlate the balloon, I pull it off my pump and wrap it around the index and middle finger of my right hand (I'm a southpaw) and finish by tucking the nozzle between my two fingers and then pull it tight. My fingers get pretty tired after a few hours though!
Works for me,but your mileage my vary..... Scruffy |
