Hello everyone!

I have seen a lovely bag effect where the magican keeps turing a bag inside out and it keeps changeing color. At the end he finds what he is seeking inside a pocket that are zipped up. What is the bag called and where can I find it?

Thanks!

I think this is what your looking for. It's called a "Chameleon Bag."

Also known as a "Gagbag". Steven's magic sells a really good one that will NOT flash the next color before you want it to. I have an old zipper gagbag that I still use.

A nice routine with a Gagbag is to place a series of magic props in each section of the bag. Turn the bag inside out change the color and do a trick, turn the bag inside out, change the color and do a trick.

Things like the following can fill the bag with a performance set of nice routines. -Rope (any basic routine of personal choice)
-Hopping coins or Copper, Silver, Brass or a two in the hand one in the pocket routine.
-Coins through Silk (Ammar)
-Card deck for a card set or a packet trick like three card monte.
-Cigarette papers for the Slydini Torn and Restored Paper
-Silk for any of a number of silk based routine (maybe a signed silk to apple or McComb's color changing silk)

Get to the zipper at the end and produce a Thank you banner and then vanish it and say your adieus.

The bag itself is a simple prop but consider the possibilies of a magic bag producing magic tricks.

I use my zipper gagbag when I'm performing needle thru balloon, and have the balloons in my "special balloon storage bag...oops, must've forgotten to pack 'em"...then keep searching from bag to bag and all the different colors until you find the one with the zipper, and VOILA!

The best gagbags have the black border on them. That way, the next color isn't tipped, exposing how the bag works. Pauline Tong makes such a bag.

Those must be the ones that Joe Stevens is currently (or WAS) selling. That's where mine came from.

I just want to tell you all that I got my Nielsen bag and I am very pleased. It took a while to find a way to turn it in-side-out without exposing the next color. I am very pleased. Thanks for the help!
