Hello, I have tried to get a hold of dollar sized chinese coins and have had little luck. I have found coins that are the diameter of a SD but they are too thin for my taste. I also found some pewter coins that are the perfect size but not brass. Is it possible to brass plate these??
Thanks Joe |

Check your Yellow Pages and see if you can find a Silversmith in your area. They would know all about the pewter and the brass plating.

Would copper be acceptable instead of brass? It's fairly easy to copper plate things (at least iron nails) by putting Pennies and the object to plate in vinegar. It's a little more complex than that, but that's the basic idea. Not sure if it would work with pewter or not.

Alot of pewter is silver on brass or copper. Get someone who does polishing to try and remove the silver for you.
