I have two large red velvet change bags, with gold trim, brass ring, and handles. I would like to find a SMALL red satin, gold trim, and brass handle one to go with what I already have, but I haven't been having any luck in my search. Can someone recomend one?

Hi Al:

Concerning the bag you're looking for - how long would you say you need? Also, how big of a mouth opening (diameter)?

I've seen quite a few velvet bags, but I don't think I've seen any with a satin outside. Will velvet work for you?

Hi Ron
I'm not very hip on fabrics, so when I said satin I really meant velvet. I have two nice red velvet ones they are both 6" in diameter with brass handles and gold trim, one has a zipper, and the other one doesn't. I'm looking for a cute little one to match, but all the little ones I've seen are made from wood, and look kinda cheap.

When I think of such a prop, Owens Magic comes to mind. It might be worth giving them a call. If they don't have them, maybe Viking Magic would.

I really apreciate your help, but $275 is a bit more than I wanted to spend for a small bag. I was thinking of something under $100. Perhaps I'm asking too much I can find the $15 change bag, and now a $275 change bag. Surely there's something in between.
THANK YOU

Hey Al:

There is a P&L Style Change bag on ebay - it's by a Power Seller who imports a lot of stuff from India. It appears it's the exact same model as Viking sells, only for $17.00 instead of $35.00. From the packaging, it might be made by Loftus. It seems to be the size you're after.

My guess is it's not great quality, but might be worth taking a chance. Also, I have a beautifully German-made bag from Practical Magic in the U.K. It is the best bag I've ever had (and I've own P&L and Abbott's bags) but its about $135.00. You can see a picture of it at http://www.practical-magic.com

Although, it doesn't have quite the same look, I like the Italian-made bags that are distributed by Empire. I tried one out at the local magic shop and it works well - looks nice, too.

Look in the stage and platform section.

I emailed Craig Dickson for more information. He is a very reputable, and honest dealer.

Ron
It appears that change bag comes with a mismade flag trick also, so I put a $16 bid on it too.
THANK YOU GUYS

I bought them both. The $16 one from ebay is too cheap for a professional magician to use. The Wizard Craft Craig Dickson $18 change bag is a winner.
THANKS
