I recently saw a film clip of Bernard Billis on French TV using a puzzle box.
It was a wooden flat puzzle in a box perfectely fitted with about 8 pieces and in a rectangular shape. He takes the pieces out of the box and reassembles them on the table. He then takes a small square piece out of his pocket and adds it to the rest leaving the same retangular shape. He then adds another larger piece of wood and still has the same rectangular shape. To finish he puts all the pieces in the box and they still fit perfectly even with the two new pieces included. I have seen similar type puzzles but does anyone know who sells this exact puzzle? |

Yes it seems like a different variation of the Winston Freer puzzle.
I was looking to see who sells this particular version in wood. Also it is smaller then the Freer version and can easily be carried in your pocket. |

Yes this is the routine..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWgTEoDXfxs What also puzzles me is it seems he starts with 8 pieces and at the end he still seems to have only 8 pieces (which he puts back in the case) even though you see him add two pieces earlier. Am I miscounting? |

Yes, strange !
But I think when putting the pieces back in the box that he is taking 2 pieces together (twice)... For example, he is putting back in the box a piece that look like this : |--------------| |------------ || || || || || --- And this one does not exist at beginning of effect. Very nice effect I think ! The description of effect here http://www.magies.com/catalogpro/magie/t......;idpa=46 is exactly what Billis is doing. Nicolas |
