I guess it would be a nationality that starts with an H being Hungarian for example. You may want to try to find a nationality that starts with an H and ends with an S.

Tough one. They both start with an "s" and end with an "h". So maybe abc is right.

No - the answer is straightforward.
It's not a trick question.

What do you guys think it is. I might have a few more clues later. He also said its something to do with the shop. He said its a nationality and you have to guess what nationality it is and why. He said it had something to do with magic or the shop

If it has something to do with the shop or magic and the riddle is not in the wording then I am not right. I will thnk a little more. Eddie said it is straight forward which means I will probably not get it. It is the curse of intelligence. You lose the ability to think about relatively easy things which is why I battle to answer very easy questions like when my wife asks me what time I am going to be home when I go to the pub I have no idea how to answer.

My personal guess would be France. It's sandwiched between Spain and Switzerland and was the homeland of Robert-Houdin, the father of modern magic.

Sorry -
I really thought that you would get it without giving the answer.
The two countries in question were the last hosts of FISM. !
The answer is the next host - China.

It's "riddle," by the way. And no, scottthegreat, the 2000 FISM took place in Spain. So the answer is China, site of the 2009 FISM. Get your prize.
