Yes, there's some of that in the Annotated Erdnase. But it's still worth buying.

I have the Annotated Erdnase and I love the book. What parts of the book are considered lore? (I was commenting on the forums in general and not the book in particular).

I know it. I was just kidding around about the book. It's all good.

Not all of them. Just most of them. I do find it a bit odd that people with such chequered pasts in grifting would boast about their conquests on a magic forum.

Walter surely you have enough sense to know that gamblers exist in the world. this is the gambling spot, this is where hustlers post! We are not boasting we are telling it like it is. Once I got shot in the face. That isn't anything to boast about but it is a true story. We share our experiences if you don't like them you can always shut your eyes!

Now that sucks !! Was this gambling related or a misunderstanding involving someone from the opposite sex?

Well, let's see. piggy backing on mempis story, my brother just about died in my arms after getting shot, twice, at point blank range. the worst part about it, they walked up to my door and rang the door bell, it was an attempted assasination.

My friend, in an attempt to back me up in a fight, was shot and is paralyzed. In this instance I was the intended target, but they missed and hit my friend.

Another time, I was at friends house, when gun shots from AKs rang out, along with smaller caliber guns. When it was all said and done, five people were down. two in the street, one in the front yard, one in the next door neighbors yard and one in my arms.

Over fourth of July holiday this year, Someone tried to assault my friend and I with pruning shears (speak of your garden tools Memp... LOL). I pulled out a knife and my friend a gun. No shots were fired, but the guy turned pale. the guy didn't expect to see a gun come from a 68 year old man.

We didn't know it at the time, but someone from a second story apartment building saw the whole thing unfold. The guy said, it was like watching a scene from a movie. He said we reacted so fast, he didn't even see where the weapons were drawn from

This is how it goes down everyday for a lot of people. This isn't Hollywood. No one is going to jump in and save the day, right before the trigger gets pulled God is not going to shoot a bolt of lightning down on someone who is about to jam you up.

there are three laws, as far as I'm concerned: The cops, God, and your wit. Guess what? I'm not waiting for the cops or God.

wally I was a pimp and my friend had knocked a guys girl and they rode down on me and pulled their pistols and wanted to know where my friend was. I told them that I was not a phone directory on hookers and they had to get their info elsewhere. One of them slapped me and I hit him and he shot me in the mouth and my girl hit him in the face 3 times and one of his boys left him there and took me to the hospital because I was known as a dangerous mother and his friend knew somebody was going to die for me being shot.

I am interested in getting the book simply because Ortiz has contributed to it. However, what's been putting me off is whether it will have any practical value for me.

One way it would be useful is to help me with false deals. Does, by any chance, Ortiz break down his methods?
