First off let me say, I did about 15 tricks. Only really messed up 1 of them so I'm happy.

The biggest hits were.

Sinful (such a strong trick)

Stuck

Ashes on Arm (most popular by far)

Business card on string removed under napkin

2 Card Monte

Lazy Aces

Card thrown through window

Pushing Glass through Table (this one I messed up...ooops! Dropped the glass)

So exciting. Most of the tricks I'm using are off of the Illusionist DVD how to do Street Magic. I cant rave enough about it. I only watched it for 2 days before doing al of these. I bought Stuck and Sinful just the night before performing them and pulled them both of flawlessly. Score.

Just wanted to share! By the way this was not on Stage but at a house party with an audience of about 15 people.

You sound like me after my very first gig. I could not believe I was doing something that I have been doing for free for so many years and actually got paid for it. I made in one night (money) what took me a week to make at my job, and have been spoiled ever since. If you don't mind me asking who's version of card through window did you use. Been thinking about picking up windowmation. Thanks and bravo on your first performance.

I used an impromptu version I made up after seeing it done the first time.

Glad it went well, but I seriously would advise you working on your stuff a LOT longer before preforming.

I don't believe that you can master any ONE of those effects, let alone all of them, both the methods AND presentation in 1-2 days.

That would be my only, and strongest advice.

Still I am glad it wemt well, and especially glad that you loved it so much. The joy in perfomring is something else isn't it.
It's amazing, people will criticize you for "biting the hand that feeds you," while they're busy praising the hand that beats them.

"You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."

I won't forget you Robert.

I agree, glad you had a positive experience, but you missed the bullet.... this time.

As you continue to perform, you patter and your character will start to gel a bit, however there is a difference between showing a trick and blowing their minds which comes with practice and study.

It's not the method that matters, it's you selling the effect.

Good luck
