I think Cardini and Kaps will amost always take the top of the list because they made such an enduring mark on the artform. There will always be debate over who can do the best classic ball vanish or split fans, but these two guys helped invent the modern context of a manipulation based performance for commercial entertainment.
"What's your drug?" she asked. "Hope" he said, "The most addicting one of all."

Cardini for sure. However in this new era of magic today, I would have to say I really admire Topas for his pure creative touch and use of creativity in his manipulative magic that he does. He has taken it in a new direction which I find very refreshing.

Yes but when I saw him. I saw him perform his full theater stage show. It was 90 minutes of some of the most creative magic I have ever seen. It really ranked up there on my list of top best magic shows I had ever seen. Simply wonderful to watch.

Aw great one there Stanyon. I myself have the full course and have taken it and learned it from the manuscripts. He certainly did train a lot of the greats.
