Hello everyone!
Well, I'm not one to make a big scene, but I saw the forum...specially made...for introductions. So! Off we go! My name is Aaron Stone, and I'm a resident of Northern Texas, near Wichita Falls. There are only a few other magicians in the area, and they are seasoned pros...I seem to be one of two "new guys" in magic in the area. I got bitten by the magic bug hard at the beginning of High School, and haven't done much of anything else. I've been lucky enough to get a job performing full time. It's great experience...kinda like getting thrown in the lake to learn how to swim. When I started there, as I remember, I was terrible. Oh sure, I thought I was hot stuff, but after a week I had realized that nothing I was doing was worth showing to anyone. My mentor and friend, Ron D. Wilson, tutored me and helped me get where I am today. I've met a lot of influential people that have really affected what I perform and how I perform it. David Williamson and Rick Walker really inspire my creativity. I'm not a big fan of the 'internet revolution,' as it seems to create more bad than good. I hate feeling arrogant, but I do seem to know more than my share for my age. I have too much freetime, so I don't do much besides practice or work. I'm into every type of magic. I love comedy stage the most, but stage at all is a hard field to get into this day in time. Still, that hasn't stopped me from doing a two hour show at the Wichita Theatre this past summer. I'm a big nerd, I'm abstract, humorous, witty, and unpredictable. I welcome you all to check out my website (aaronthemagician.com) or drop me an e-mail or PM any day of the week, and I'll reply ASAP. Well, if you've made it through this post, your reading skill has increased by 2+ Points! Thanks for letting me join the Café! Merry Christmas! |
