I've been here for a little while but never introduced myself. My name is Scott Franz and I'm from the Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA area. Magic has been a passion for me for the last 16 years (ever since I saw Harry Anderson do needle through arm - man, that was cool). Other interests include barbecue (real Q, not that fake stuff) and computers.

Hey Welcome Scott!
Well needle thru arm is pretty cool, but nothing like winter in Minnesota. That my friend is REALLY Cool I got frost bite on my ears (no joke) during the Winter Carnival while watching the parade back in 1971. And they have never been the same.... So, just as long as you leave the cold air up there, you are welcome here. BroDavid

Coolest thing I've ever seen in Minnesota - temp was about 40 below zero (not including the wind chill). Took a glass of hot water outside and tossed the water in the air. It went from liquid to gas before it could hit the ground. Talk about cool. Not many places you can do that trick.

Hello, "I am not Mac King". That is something both of you are probably very happy about?
Re: Barbeques.. Have you read Senator Clarke Crandall's old Tops column on that subject? Very funny.(Note to Moderators. This is not an ad. I am not selling the Crandall book. I don't even have my e-catalog working at the moment. The piece really is funny and one of my favorite pieces by my favorite comedy writer).
Have a Magic day

Thanks all. I haven't read Senator Crandall's article, I never did get Tops. Maybe you can give me the gist of it?
The closest I've come to combining my two hobbies was to invite some magic buddies over for Q and then having a magic session afterward. Might just make this a regular event. Scott
