I was just figuring that you should atleast make the effect stand out on the page.
On the homicide page this is the effect description; "We've re-created the murder book for you. Why? Because our murder book is umm...special. The spec can turn to ANY page, choose an unfortunate victim's name, street, or the area where the murder took place, and you can reveal how they met their demise, if they were male or female, how old they were, why they were killed, and the name of the killer! All this opens up incredible possibilities." But it's the third paragraph and it just blends in with an entire page of text. My advice would be to just draw some attention to what the effect is. The way it is it is litterally hidden in the middle of an entire page of text. All of the comments at the bottom of the page are bolded, why not just do something similar with the effect. People want to know simply WHAT it is. I just really do not think it is clear, or easy to see what your effects are. Honestly, I only learnt what Homicide was after a review. Prior to that I had no clue. Nothing made me have ANY interest in finding out either. There was nothing but a name, and the name tells me nothing about the magic of the effect. Now that someone else summed up what the actual effect was, I honestly have interest in it. I would have never had any interest in it otherwise. I just believe you may be missing a LOT of potential customers. People don't read an entire page to be told if something is what they want or not. Either they go looking for something they have in mind, or a description of an effect sounds like something they may want. Not something they know nothing about. Then again, I may have just missed it entirely with any time that it was said what your products were. I'm sorry to have rambles on again. I tend to do that.

GDW I hear ya man.
Because I don't wholesale my products to fancy magic sites that have beautiful color ad layouts and guys that are very polished at being able to put into two paragraphs what it takes me a whole page to say, I may pay a price. And I'm willing to pay that price, because keeping control of my products allows me to give the best possible service to anyone that rides into Outlaw Effects looking for a new weapon to add to their arsenal. There's gold in them ads, ya just gotta find it. So kick the tires and light the fires boys. RR |

I'm always showing up to the dance too late. Scorpion is now $100.

Douglas, I was thinking the same thing about protecting the hand. I would love to do a smash and stab effect but I cannot get the images from the videos I have seen where that has went wrong.
I probably need the sharpie as well, I can't keep from breaking those dang rings. I had inquired about Proximity hoping I could use that with the Scorpion and The Relic but it looks like it only works with their tags.

Yeah that's why I like the Scorpion. The spikes wont penetrate if you miss but to the spectator it feels sharp. Btw, there's another device on the market that's called "Child's Play". I have it as well and it works good. There's a more expensive version of Child's Play that looks like a watch (sports/dress). You get a marble routine with it.

Child's Play does work well with the scorpion. We no longer make the dress model due to complication with materials. We do, however, make the standard model Child's Play watch. The nice thing about Child's Play is you are wearing a real multifunction wrist watch that does the dirty work for you. I realize I am a little prejudiced since I am the co inventor of the product but it is still the best at what it does plus you can do so much more.
The watch and description of Child's Play can be seen on the web site http://www.mrmagic-columbus.com Click on the picture at the side of the description to see a picture of the watch. Ron |
