I have had my silks packed in a bag for a long period of time while I was moving and they are all creased. What is the best way to get them back to new looking and flat again?

Wash them and steam iron them flat is my method.

You can also wet them individually, put them on a mirror, let them dry, and that will take the wrinkles out.

The mirror trick works but the hot iron will bring back out the luster and shine.

Separate by colors, use a warm (not hot water) and a mild detergent (Drift, Woolite, etc.), rinse them by hand or gentle cycle in machine. A drop of fabric softner will help prevent static. Do not let them set wet especially if they are multicolored.

On the road I put them on the shower door after slightly wetting them, then steam the bathroom up like a sunna..Cordially,Howard
