Paisa tells me that it is a great investment. He is in Montana and I'm still in Jersey. Is it really a good choice to get a nice set or just work with regular coins. I have a ] but its from an old S/S effect I use to do.
"And What Not!!!" paisa23 you know what i mean.

Right now I am practicing with with Halves and Morgans, now with Morgans they are more quiet and easier to manuever for me, but they are heavier for the [C] move. Especially when I toss the 3rd(Second) coin. The weight knocks out the other one from its position. Now with the Halves, I find them lighter so I actually use more snap then need be. Now when doing this for people what angles are we using here because it seems to me that it is very angly.

I've been doing CoinOne with halves, but I'm going to start doing it with dollars. The reason is because of the "move." When my hands are the least bit moist or sticky at all, the coin doesn't have enough weight to come into position. I've found the "move" a lot easier to do with dollar coins simply because the added weight helps to overcome the inertia from the coin and my skin.

I doubt you'll get anything from Jamie overnight.
Right now he's got a 6 week to 8 week backlog of orders. Jamie makes everything by hand, and to order. It's worth the wait. |

Thanks Silverking. What is the difference between Schoolcraft's coins and Lassen's? Which set is better?

Todd makes some things that Jamie doesn't, and Jamie makes some that Todd doesn't. They also have some different items in their product lines. Both makers have a wait list based on their popularity. You really can't go wrong with either maker, they're both the best of the best. As an aside, I was just looking at my brand new Schoolcraft Deans Set through a magnifying glass, and each Walking Liberty has been hallmarked by Jamie! Not that I'll be selling these, but this is an excellent idea for resale, and or provinance of the coins. The marks are miniscule, impossible for a spec to see if they don't know they're there. |

Would you reccomend these coins over the average shell set?
Does anyone here own a 3CM set? If so, have they been a good investment? And can you use the shells as normal shells as well? or are they shaved like the dean's set so they only work w/ the coins they come w/. Michael |

Has anyone tried the trick with gold medals or poker chips?
...to all the coins I've dropped here

I think even with the proper weight poker chips, the "move" would be too difficult with chips. It really helps to have some weight in there. I haven't tried though!
