For what it's worth...I had a weird experience a couple days ago, and I'm at a loss to explain it. here goes:
I was alone in my bedroom, with the doors closed, and the lights on. Suddenly, out of the blue, the light was switched off. It went dark, and I was standing a few feet from the only switch..I had to physically turn it back on to get rid of the darkness. Well, today, my son and his friend were alone in this house, (I was out of town) and they related to me that the thermostat , which was switched off, suddenly switched ON (to cool air) they were both in the other room, and the doors were secured and locked. They related to me the story after I got home, and after we talked, it suddenly happened AGAIN. I have no explanation..but I'm going to be on my guard from here on. his is just plain weird.

In my life, I've seen some toggle-style light switches that don't always "catch" when turned on or off, and will eventually flip the other way once some time has passed. Thermostats are also tricky things. I had an old fashioned thermostat that was acting up last year. I couldn't explain its behaviour. Things went on or off for no seeming reason. I replaced it, and now everything is fine. As for the newer electronic thermostats, some of them are more complicated than an iPhone. It wouldn't surprise me if some of their electronic settings get mixed up now and then.

Who you gonna call?
Ghostbusters! Seriously man, you got ghosts. I had them once,...once. I just moved away. It was the easiest solution. Good luck and I hope they are nice and just keep playing with the switches and stuff and don't follow you to the next place you live 'cause they got used to you and all. |

I never believed in ghosts. That's why I am busting my mind for a logical explanation.

Have you been practicing a lot with IT recently?

Fantasmas.
Enjoy them while you can. Invite them to dinner. Leave cookies and milk out for them. Perhaps a chess set ready and waiting for their move.
Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy; The way into my parlour is up a winding stair, And I've a many curious things to show when you are there. Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain, For who goes up your winding stair -can ne'er come down again. |

I just had a visit from my daughter...she lives in Marion, about 45 minute drive from here...this take the cake, but she said the other day she was alone in the house, (husband was at work) and when she went into her bedroom, she was shocked to see that the television had been moved, and the DVD player which was on the TV, was now on the bed, with the cords stretched across the length of the bed, as if someone had moved it there deliberately. If this is a g...g...g..g.... ghost, then he sure gets around.
That was the house my wife passed away in. The plot thickens......

Oh. Daffydoug, I forgot to tell you I was living in your house. Sorry, I'll try not to freak you out to much from now on.

My daughter insists there <were> a couple of ghosts in the house we're living in now. (I say <were> because she hasn't felt them lately.) The house is certainly old enough to qualify, a couple of rooms have (sealed up) gas jets in them!

This is strange...when I was kid we lived in this VERY old house. It gave me the creeps.
One day, mom and me were home alone, and she was about to send me on an errand, when suddenly, we BOTH heard a deep male voice out of NOWHERE say "Don't for get to put on your hat!" It blew us away!

I personally don't believe in ghosts or an afterlife. Still, in 1971, a couple of Air Force buddies and I were screwing around with a Ouija Board in our dorm room. An LP album was playing on a manual turntable. We had a candle burning on the desk but left the lights on. About 30 minutes into the "game" the stylus scratched across the album and off the record. A second or two later, the room lights went out and the candle flame just died. It wasn't blown...it just stopped burning. Lights in the rest of the dorm were still on. I haven't touched a Ouija Board since and won't allow them in my house. I can't explain any of it. Even though I've been in supposedly haunted buildings and sites since, this is the only nearly-supernatural thing that's ever happened to me. I still don't believe...but I ain't taking any chances.
That said, I LOVE watching the Sci-Fi Channel's Ghost Hunters Series. I believe the TAP guys are the only truly serious and dedicated ghost hunters on the tube. If THEY believe they find something major and clear-cut, I may consider believing. Skip

I have heard many other similar stories concerning OUIJA boards...so you are definitely not alone. (No pun intended.)
