Michael,

I have enjoyed reading your columns in Magic Magazine and now Genii for the past 5 years and I think I saw you lurking in the background of Sahara Hotel at the World Magic Seminar a few years ago.

As a beginner to magic, what resources (books and or videos/DVD's) would you recommend to learn basic card sleights and routines? Also, would any of the routines in your books be appropriate for the beginner?
