Q. What do you do when you wake up?
A. Get out of bed and relieve the on board liquid storage compartment. Took me a minute before I realized what you meant! :^O Clever description -wish I had thought of it!
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

7am when forced to by weekday duties - in this order:
Beg my wife to wake up. Drain the swimming pool - take all my pills (etc) Beg my wife to wake up ("I'm not snoring, just sometimes I breathe that way.") Dress. Beg my wife to wake up. Feed myself something quick. Beg my kids to wake up. Watch the start of last night's LAW AND ORDER. Beg one kid to go wake his mother up. Finish last night's LAW AND ORDER. Realize how late it is and drive the kid to school because Mommy got up late. Alternatively, 9am or so: The usual physical necessities. Check my e-mail. "You had a headache last night ... still have a headache? Oh, well, that's OK." (Make a note to buy extra-strength headache medicine.) Check my email again. Go upstairs, make my kid turn off CARTOON NETWORK and watch last night's LAW AND ORDER. |

I usually get up at 5:30
I am out of bed pretty quick as I am a morning person Wake up my wife, who tell me to try again when I am out of the shower. GO to the bathroom to get ready for the day. I once hear this refered to as the three "S"s, but that leaves out brushing ones teeth which I do. I tell my wife I am out of the shower. I check my email Beofer I leave my wife gets up to give me a hug & kiss good bye I leave for work

Thank you all for your responses so far.
Based on these responses, would it be safe to assume that the bedroom, the bathroom, and the kitchen are the three main places visited while getting ready to start the day? |

On some days, visiting those three places IS the day.

Indeed.
One final thing I am asking of the people who have stated their schedules (and anyone else feel free to answer) For your "waking up" period, what "props" (IE medicine cabinet, coffee, alarm clock, phone) do you find yourself interacting with? Thank you all for your responses thus far. This is a cinematography assignment due in about a month, and authenticity is key. |

I get up at 7:00 am. I set the thermostat, turn on the computer, make two cups of coffee, wake the queen, with her coffee in my hand, and away we go. Of course I shower, but before that I check my email to see if I got any bookings over night.

Coffee for the queen is part of my morning as well. I drink mine black in whatever is available. She takes hers in the taller white cup (wash one if necessary), with cream and sugar and micro-waved for a minute.
I preheat the shower, while "reading" on the porcelain chair. My wife checks the clock and decides if it's time for our daughter to wake up or if I need to put her back down. Props: Coffee maker, kid's DVDs, frying pan, tooth brush, beard trimmer, razor, wash cloth.

We really splurge on coffee. I buy mail order coffee from Italy, I have a Gaggia cappachino machine, and I serve it foaming in a mug. We don't eat breakfast, but we drink coffee in style. Our kids are grown so we don't have to set a good example for anyone. Of course when I serve my wife her coffee she always greets me lovingly with "I don't want to go to work today, I hate you, you creep" Al Angello

4:30 - Feed cats, make coffee for wife, wave goodbye to wife (she's going to work) wake kids, help them with getting ready, put one kid on school bus, one on public bus (she <hates> the school bus), go back to bed for a couple of hours so I don't collapse when <I> have to go to work this afternoon!
